Replaces the original from an 18 year old Whirlpool SF315PEKQ0 gas stove. The new part fitted the old one exactly, all the screw holes matched and the electrical connection fitted perfectly. Very easy to replace. After reconnecting the gas line and plugging in the power cord, the new igniter will glow orange and the gas will come out but will not ignite. I could smell gas so I know it's not a fuel delivery issue. I checked a hot tub repair site that said if the element is not incandescent then it is not hot enough to ignite the gas. Mine wasn't glowing white, not even red, but orange. I am returning this item and ordered it from Whirlpool. Hopefully the details aren't from the same source as Whirlpool has twice as many. Update a week later: The part of the whirlpool doesn't work either - it's red/orange and I can smell gas but it doesn't. don't burn, don't burn I visually checked the control board for signs of burned parts and burned or frayed wires but found nothing.
