This is a decent basal body thermometer, but not anything special. I like that it measures to the hundredth of a degree, versus the typical thermometer that reads to the tenth. Plus, with the little alarm when it's done taking your temp, you don't have to guess when it's finished. And, if you don't write down the measurement right away, there is a memory function that will keep track of the last measurement taken, and you can access it for noting in your records later. What I didn't like is simply that the screen came scratched, making me wonder if it was pre-owned, damaged, returned, and then sold at full-price, OR if there simply was not care taken during manufacturing. The other thing that I didn't like entirely was that because the screen was not backlit, the numbers were sometimes difficult to read. Other than that, I would point out that this thermometer can be used for more than simply trying to track your fertility cycle. It can also be used for the purpose of tracking your temperature throughout the day for the purposes of trying to determine if your thyroid is perhaps under-functioning. It wouldn't be proof it it, but it could be an indicator you could bring to the attention of your physician.
