I'm content with the echo sounder and the program in general. It is universal and is usable from both the beach and the boat. I read in the evaluations that a strong wave can break the connection between the devices. I did not have this issue. In my experience, the connection is broken when the echo sounder submerges, but this also occurs when the boat is moving swiftly or the echo sounder is quickly dragged to the land.
