Review on Feather Razor Blades Hi Stainless Double Shave & Hair Removal by Amanda Head

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For me the best blade! Very sharp!

The best blades on the market! The sharpest and can be smooth if you have good technique. Sharp blades are what you need! Initially, when I started wet shaving, I didn't like these blades. They weren't smooth and I cut myself pretty badly. After improving my technique (it took about a year) and trying different razors, this blade is now my unconditionally. Works very well with my Merkur 37C bevel razor and some adjustable razors like the Gillette Fatboy or Rex Ambassador. They are very suitable for adjustable razors because you can adjust the efficiency so that the blade runs smoothly and still retains its super sharpness. These blades are real. You will receive a nice sleeved box like the photo and it looks great in the shaving salon. The wax sheet has a feather logo and the blue has not faded. You can tell the seller delivers fresh stock! The performance with these blades is outstanding for me. I have very thick beard hair that needs to be trimmed with a sharp blade. I hate that tugging or tugging sensation that other blades sometimes have in the neck area. These blades won't do it for me. They just cut through my facial hair with ease. You get a very clean shave so you don't have to shave every day unless your work or lifestyle requires it. Shaving less can also help with less irritation. The more passes you make or shave more often, the more irritation on your face. That's why I love that my face looks and feels good all day after shaving. After about 24 hours, my stubble appears, so it's fine. On the 3rd day I shave with it and it's not difficult for me to get rid of the facial hair. My facial hair pattern often changes direction, so sharpening can help overcome those odd angles. The key with this and any blade you use is to touch the razor lightly, shave at the right angle, pay a little extra attention to the shave, and take your time. Happy shaving! After shaving, always follow a good post-shave routine. Since these blades are sharp, I like to apply a good aftershave and then apply a good balm to moisturize and soothe my skin. The seller sent very quickly and I can say that the blades were fresh. The glue on the blades didn't spread or look like it had melted because it was in an uncontrolled environment. Everything was packaged as if it were real. They're also great for travel, as the plastic boxes that come with the blades have an area to store your blades. You also get 10 blades in a box, so you can take 2 boxes and be ready for a long journey. That's a great thing for her! They say 200 blades! If you use 1 blade, shave every other day and throw away the blade on the second shave, they will last 2+ years! 1 blade shaved and thrown away every other day (fresh blade with every shave), that's about 182 blades per year. For the price the seller is offering for this kit, you can enjoy the best shave all year round. Consider the cost of other brands of blades that you buy from the store. When I shaved with cartridges I swear I paid about $35 for 8 blades. You get 200 blades for $10 more! What I paid for blades a month I can now pay for at least a year, if not more. I have enough blades for about 2-3, sometimes maybe 4-5 shaves. First and second shaves are fine, but the butter knife feel gets worse for me after the third shave. Your first pass might seem a little rough, but it's nothing serious. Some people put the blade against some denim before shaving to avoid getting a slight roughness on the new blade when inserting the blade. This can be due to the coating of the blade, certainly not. I'm not worried as it's nothing serious. On the second pass, your blade is set and you have the same sharp cutting power as always, but much smoother! I don't shave with these blades. When they fade, you'll know for sure! I do 2 full shaves and get out. I shave 3 times. 1st pass on grain, 2nd against fiber, 3rd cleaning/polishing, and after that I'm damn close to BBS. Some people might push the blades farther and get a better shave, but this really is YMMV! They're cheap enough in my opinion that they don't really need to push the blade past its limits. I shave and throw away more aggressive razors like the R41. It all depends on your beard and gear. And again YMMV! Overall, I can highly recommend these blades for new wet razors. Don't be intimidated by what people say about these blades being so sharp they'll bleed and take you to the hospital haha! Any blade can cut badly. You just need to have good technique before trying! If you have irritation issues with these blades, revisit them once your technique slips or try them with a softer razor. As for me, I can use them on almost any razor, but I have to be really careful with the R41 because it's so beautiful and these blades are so sharp. They can cut you so you don't even feel it because they are so sharp. I didn't really cut myself with it. I can occasionally have small tears (rare) but nothing big. Nothing can stop an alum block or a pencil. But definitely not pulling and pulling. If you have this feeling, you probably have the wrong angle or poor technique. Overall, I am very impressed with this seller and their product! Great product, good shipping and good communication. Will buy again soon. Thank you!
