The rubber mallet is one of my favorite tools because it serves two purposes. 1) general housework that requires a rubber mallet. 2) In the kitchen, I use a hammer to evenly pound things like chicken breasts, or to lightly mash things like toasted bread or crack open nut shells. I even managed to level the bottom of a huge used aluminum kitchen kettle that was so swollen it couldn't stand flat on the stove. Now it sits perfectly on the stove. I always trust Stanley's tools. They are always well made and stand the test of time.
