Although you could find the same number of tubes for $5 I ended up losing 5 times more. I've bought $5 tubes before, but they turned yellow after less than a month of use. Of course, if you're the kind of person who doesn't care about looks, this $5 tube is more than functional and I wouldn't recommend spending more. Now these tubes come out of the box really inflexible. Putting on compression fittings was a huge nightmare until a friend suggested I dip the ends in hot water to soften them. It took a week of working with the loop before the tubing was soft enough for me to tighten the fittings just enough to reduce worry. In general, these tubes have been used for about a month and still have not turned yellow. Fingers crossed they don't turn yellow immediately after posting this review!
