My wife is no longer able to dress herself. So, my goal is to make the process of dressing her as easy on me as possible. These allow me to still purchase stylish, common, lace-up shoes and switch out the laces for the elastic (available in multiple colors) X-band laces. Thereby turning lace-up shoes into easy slip on shoes. We'd previously tried the 'Hickies' lacing system and my wife said they hurt the top of her foot. I've even laced a pair of my daily kicks with the X-band laces. Very comfortable.
