This iron is amazing. It looks and feels like a quality iron. It's digital, so press the power button to turn it on, then use the plus or minus button to set your desired temperature. I love it when the flat iron straightens my long, thick, wavy hair at full power. It only took a few seconds for this iron to heat up to 455 degrees. There's a nice little indentation for your thumb, which doesn't feel like much, but I liked it. Holding the iron has become much more convenient. There is also a latch that allows you to close the iron when not in use. The cord is very long, swivels and comes with Velcro so the cord can be rolled up neatly. Not only is the iron amazing, you get so much with it! I love the included heat resistant mat that you can place the iron on and store after use. I don't have to wait for it to cool down. The set includes an amazing brush, clips and two combs. I didn't find a hairbrush essential, but this brush must be magical because it glides so smoothly through my hair, leaving it soft. The hair clips are also very cool because they open in two places so you can cut off one section of hair, open the other part of the hair clip and add more hair. I am in seventh heaven with this iron, this brush and all the wonderful accessories that go with it. Worth the money and I can say it will last a very long time.
