If you're having trouble, it's most likely the Ethernet cable!

At first I was disappointed that these adapters didn't work. I couldn't believe a seller would make a product that just doesn't work. I assumed the problem was in my device or resolution settings. But having worked with computers for 30 years, I've seen quite a few quarks with interconnect cables, regardless of protocol (SCSI, VGA, USB, CatX, etc.). So I decided to pull my mix from the old cables and see if the problem was with the cable. Of course it was. I tried 4 cables until I found one that worked great. I have a Leviton Telcom Enhanced cable that has been tested to TIA/EIA 568-B.2 CAT 5 compliance. The adapter actually indicates the use of a CAT 5e cable. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I am not affiliated with any company. I created this post for 2 reasons.1. To help customers looking for an accurate summary of information.2. The product is so cheap and works so well. A number of reviews state that this product does not work. IT WORKS AND WORKS REALLY WELL as advertised. I use it for a video surveillance system. It does NOT require an external power supply as some reviewers claim. The picture quality is equivalent to that of an HDMI cable. As I said before, if you're having trouble, it's the cable. I have used this product with a Dell PC monitor and a large flat screen Vizio TV. It is currently being used on a 30ft run with a cheap Revain CAT 6 cable connected to a cheap Revain RJ45 wall outlet connected via the Leviton cable mentioned above. . Note that this did not work with the "A" cable connector on the RJ45 wall adapter. But it works well with "B" wire indicator. But this is really a problem with the RJ45 wall adapter. See the photo I uploaded. Before this project I wasn't sure about the difference between CAT 5, 5e and 6. It's about bandwidth, shielding and standards checking. Google it for your own information. Also note that online product reviews are only as knowledgeable as the person writing the review. In my experience, many bad reviews are written by people who are not well informed.
