LEDs seem to be waste and other problems

As there were no useful instructions, I will tell you about my experience. The stars fold into shape normally, but the string that holds them in shape is difficult to pull tight enough to completely close the gap, so there may be a small gap left. If you're good at closing the gap, the stars are looking pretty good. But then the star hanging from that string turns the star upside down, at least that's how I see it. LEDs are a big problem. In order for the LEDs to work, you must screw the bottom of the LED housing and the LED will light up. The instructions don't mention a specific mounting location or method, and none of that was obvious. So if you close the star with the LED on and inside, there is no easy way to get to the LED. So it seems like you have to turn on the LED before you close it. You then have to partially disassemble the star to get to the LED to turn it off. Each LED is powered by a stack of three 1.5V LR41 batteries, which originally provided a total of 4.5V. These small batteries will keep the LED on for about 2 hours at a reasonable brightness. At current battery prices, turning it back on for another 2-3 hours costs about $1. If you're comfortable you can ignore the included LEDs and cut off the top of a dot on the star and already glue (hot glue?) the LED to the power chain and make it look like a garland. Then you need to figure out what to do with the LEDs that came with the kit. I don't want to waste them.

Pros

Cons
  • New competitors have emerged
