(Read the last sentence to finish) Honestly this is a trial set so don't fret too much if you don't like the ink because you bought the set around everyone try three colors. I'm going to tell you now that Black Ink 30 is bulletproof. It doesn't smudge at all with copics or water. Sumi inks are just as durable as Copic but not waterproof at all. However, this may not be what you need. For my part, I prefer an ink that is at least waterproof, but I still use sumi ink just because I can. The problem is white ink. I've noticed that most white inks don't dry well in the bottle. They get to this weirdly hard, sticky texture after just a few weeks and I'm not thrilled with it. However, it is very opaque. So in summary: Black Ink 30 is bulletproof, Sumi Ink is great for brush painting and non-aqueous mediums like Copics, White Ink 30 is very opaque, but you'd better use it often.
