I used this thermometer when roasting a turkey. First, I like the length of the cable that connects to the digital display. The digital display has larger digits and is easy to read. The display shows what temperature you want the meat to be when it's being cooked and what temperature you want it to be while it's cooking. This helped me time all the side dishes around the time the turkey was done. Although the skewer is long, that doesn't mean it has to be fully immersed in the meat. Just put in the thickest part of the meat and let it do its job. You will not be disappointed with this thermometer.
