I'm glad I found him.

Broken bearings on my old bathroom exhaust fan. Looked up old fan and part number on Amazon. It was almost identical to my broken fan, even though it was made by a different manufacturer Installation was fairly easy The noise level is only slightly higher than a desk fan.

Pros
  • 7/8 inch stack; 2 mounting bolts on the back.
Cons
  • No instructions

The installation went perfectly.

The engine looks reliable, not a "cheap" fake. The impeller has helical tips, which increases its efficiency. The motor does not come with the 2 6-32 nuts needed to attach it to the fan frame, but the nuts removed from the old motor worked fine. The direction of rotation and the position of the fan shaft matched my existing motor, so I didn't have to reverse the rotor. The whole installation was as easy as I had hoped.

Pros
  • replaces Broan 655, 657, 658, 679, 671, 671a and N678 Nautilus N655, N679 and N671 fans.
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Easy bathroom fan replacement. This thing moves serious air. It's a bit noisy, but that's because it emits 80 CFM through a 6-inch tailpipe. It looks like it's really working to the fullest, but with no tension. After a hot shower I turn on this fan and the bathroom is pretty clean in 5-10 minutes. The total area of my bathroom is about 420 cubic feet. So yes it might be BIGGER than what I need for that size but I couldn't beat the price. If you need quieter fans, buy slower fans. If you want…

Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

It wasn't the fan that vibrated, it was the case.

The noise level is the same as the replacement fan, but after removing the old motor and installing the new one, I noticed that the box the fans were in made noise. didn't like it.. I used expandable foam to fill the gaps (not the cabinet vents) between the drywall and the cabinet and the annoying vibrations were gone. I'm keeping this fan anyway because it's a darn good workhorse at getting rid of moisture in my bathroom - the difference is getting rid of it day and night Good luck and if you…

Pros
  • C-frame motor, 7/32" x 1 1/4" splined shaft; Wire length: 6 1/2" with 2-pin connector; Plastic fan blade: 5.27" diameter
Cons
  • Not sure

Works fine so far, replaced a slower, slightly modified

My bathroom fan was getting dusty and me figured it was motor only and I could change it myself. From reading manuals and reviews, I found that my old fan wasn't fast enough for the square footage of my bathroom, which contributed to my bathroom always being too humid. So I chose this fan as an upgrade. The weird thing I had to do during installation was take out two long screws and put them the other way. It wasn't intuitive, but it was the only way to install it, and the screws were a little…
