Baby bath looks nice and bigger than I thought but everything is fine. My last one had a really odd shaped sleeping area, almost peanut shaped, so I couldn't use a sheet or bedspread. It has a standard sleeping pillow. It goes up to the height of my bed which made me nervous but I think I can have the highest settings and that's fine. In one of my last shots you can see it hasn't turned all the way up yet, so it's actually a bit higher than it is now. It rotates very easily and I LOVE that feature. My last one got out of hand and you really couldn't move it with the huge bezel. So that's a very nice plus. The assembly wasn't "easy", as the saying goes, but it wasn't difficult either. I'm 8 months pregnant and had a video and watched it as they walked by and paused at times to catch up. I think it took me maybe 25 minutes? They obviously make videos at warp speed and they shot it 1000 times before they shot it so don't be surprised if they seem to move A LOT effortlessly to be realistic. Some of the frames in the video happen too quickly and don't show enough of the frame or parts to know exactly what they were doing, but overall it was pretty intuitive and everything clicked when it should have clicked and blocked when it did should have clicked. lock out. All holes line up, etc. All 4 wheels are locked. It also comes with a large carrying case in case you want to take it with you wherever you go. Once I learn how to disassemble and reassemble it, I'll feel better putting it back together. Only two screws need to be tightened. The rest is all built in which is very nice. The side of the tote falls nicely and securely by simply unzipping and snapping the clasps. In general, he seems strong. I'm obsessed with the drop down siding feature. That was 90% of the reason I wanted it so bad. All the headaches I had with the first one I got was worth finding a replacement again. For some reason this is not a popular feature in over $$$$$$ and popular bassinet brands like Halo that I know I did NOT like. On this and most others with retractable sides, your hand can push it down with some force, but it just keeps snapping. It kind of defeated the goal for me. When I'm half asleep or just want to reach out and comfort the baby, I don't need to work the triceps with a sprung side. So this is EXACTLY what I prefer. This bassinet is reasonably priced, a good size, doesn't have bulk where it's not needed, and in the end, after all my drama, I'm happy with it. I knew I would love it so I'm glad I didn't give it up. Update 1/2: Ok my son is due in two days (floating) so as a sleeper I rolled into our bedroom to test the L shaped bed brackets. We have a king bed so have fun feeding the strap to here. I did it myself when I was 9 months pregnant so obviously it's doable, but it took a while. When they finally get the right length, they're fairly easy to attach to the bed, but I don't have anything to hold on to. The slightest movement and they burst instantly. Too tight? Won't stay too loose? Won't stay It's a 1000 percent job for two people to make sure they're perfectly aligned with the bed and secure enough to take a bump or two. Mine was fine and the moment I touched the bed I heard one of them fall. So be aware that the mounts aren't perfect and may require some extra fixing to somehow hold them in place. Will update again once used successfully baby :) Update! 11/27: The boy is 2.5 months old and still sleeping peacefully in this crib. We love it. About a month ago we actually got caught in a campfire in the backyard so we took the sleeper to his room where the baby monitor signal was strongest and then came back a few hours later and took him back to our room. It easily maneuvers through doorways and pivots around wall corners. It should be noted that the wheels lock by themselves. I'll push him off when I get up and he won't move and will barely fall over. I expect it to roll slightly and instead lock fully into place. This is very annoying. I move it around quite a bit, making the bed, smoothing the sheets, vacuuming the carpet underneath, etc. Every time I move it it's a lot of work and I have to bend down and unlock the wheels. As for the straps, I don't use them. This thing isn't going anywhere. Especially if the wheels keep locking up. And if he's big enough to knock him over or swing out of bed and fall out, then he probably shouldn't be involved anymore. As a newborn he slept in a sun lounger but has since outgrown it and is paddling down and it hasn't been safe. He's on his back now, but I have a 2 inch mattress wedge under the return pad. Raising/lowering the side can be a bit of a hassle as the fabric wraps around the bases and gets in the way. But I do it pretty seldom, so it doesn't really matter to us. Sheet: Mika Mickey will make a sheet especially for this item. They came out with them about a week after receiving them, searching in vain for leaves matching their unusual dimensions. The moment they came out I got them and was the first to check them out! They are amazing, soft, cute and fit perfectly. We haven't taken him anywhere, if ever. In general, there is nothing terrible about this sleeper. It could just be a wheel lock. me but i love it He loves to. I knew I would like it. Definitely worth it and would definitely recommend! He is currently using a crib hammock on his sleeping mattress but I will be sad when he moves to a full time crib and stops using it. He still has time to develop there, but it's going fast. 😭
