They work pretty well and I was glad I got them when I got them. (I fell on the ice twice in the morning before they arrived, once so badly that I broke a rib, which was confirmed by X-rays.) However, after intensive use, some shortcomings became apparent. First, they tend to slide over my boots, leaving them akimbo a bit. But the biggest problem is that they stretched out so much that I got out of one or the other several times on "sticky" ice without realizing it. Considering I'd already injured myself on the ice, that was pretty disconcerting. I'll probably buy a "upscale" set for next winter. But they should help before the end of this season.
