Excellent "toy " drone for beginners

Let's start with the direction. It was easy for her to follow step by step and fly the drone. I highly recommend doing this outdoors in light or no wind in a large open field. The controls are pretty self-explanatory. The left stick controls altitude and rotation. The right joystick controls forward/backward movement. The controller has trimmers but I couldn't get them to do anything. The drone is not actually hovering. It takes off and starts moving immediately. This can result in someone being hit, so I would recommend a large open area for this. In fact, I hit my wife on the arm, but luckily I didn't cut it. I've been playing with the left/right and front/rear trim controls and couldn't get the drone to behave differently. No matter what, it really doesn't rise. It starts moving as soon as it takes off. The phone app works great and I was able to connect to it and view footage from my camcorder without any problems. The camera rotates so you can point it down. It took me a while to figure it out, but it helped make the camera a little more functional. The drone has green and red LEDs when it's working, making it easy to see if the device is on or off. Once you start flying it will be pretty fun. All in all, the drone is a lot more robust than it looks. As a student, I hit a few things right away and after the fourth or fifth fall a support broke. Now I fly it pretty well and I haven't broken a single part. It seems to fly longer than advertised. The charger works great and the lights indicate if it's charging or not. Once the light goes out, the battery is fully charged. It was a great first drone and helped me decide that I want to buy a better drone in the future. I don't think anyone is going to get amazing footage or footage of it, but for practicing and learning the basics of drones I think it's a fantastic inexpensive option to test the waters.

Pros
  • Quadrocopters and multirotors
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
