Review on Oregon Scientific WR102 All Hazard Radio - Portable with S.A.M.E. Technology (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Nick Nigerson

I'm part of SKYWARN for NWS so I thought this radio would be perfect for me. I had to wait 2 months to get one (via Revain). I've been trying to get the SAME working for a month but to no avail. It turns out that after you decode the programming instructions and set up the codes, SAME might not work if you're too far from the NOAA station. Although I can pick up 4 out of 6 NOAA stations, none of them are strong enough to call SAME. Based on other's reviews I would choose a different radio if you really need the SAME.
