I'm a Griot fan, they have a lot of good products and a lot of videos for you to watch and they explain how best to use their products. I also buy other brands of cars. This clay bar was new to me, I had never used it before. I heard about it the last time I detailed my car. A few things to remember, it's easy, don't press hard, do small sections. I've been working on 2" x 2" or smaller sections of my car in my garage, using a quick clean to oil it and folding the clay as it flattens out. I started with a freshly washed car and waxed the car after I was done. with sound bars and WOW! Big difference in shine. My car is white, the paint needed a little heat treatment and that did the trick. It's easy to see or feel where the clay needs to be applied to the paint. The surface should be very smooth when you finish the area, if not just repeat. I took my time and it worked out great. My neighbor thought I repainted my car, did I mention it was a 1998 model with the original paint. It's not the queen of garages and has been street parked a lot over the past 16 years. I can't compare to other clay bar sets but this one definitely exceeded my expectations.
