While working on a basement wall replacement I cut out two rows of dowels. You should not splice wires in the wall unless using a special kit. From 12 to 17 dollars and not in all states. Anyway, they work very well, they hold stubbornly with no problems! I don't recommend splicing solid wires between walls unless you're adding a box, but I think it will be as good or even better than this kit. I'm just saying. I bought this product so I can fix other things.
