Friedrich must have accountants designing packaging. A 70lb AC unit with some cheap 3/16" corners and maybe 1/2" styrofoam. 2 straps for the box. Too bad - the packaging engineer certainly didn't do it. The inevitable is a crumpled box, a loose front cover, and something that isn't square because the piece doesn't fit snugly. Electronics Express was very good and sent UPS in the morning to collect the box. The support team replied to me in a timely manner, I am confident that this is not their fault and I thank EE for their time and effort. But UPS - my wife was at home watching, this UPS driver must have fallen and run like a sprinter before anyone could see this box. I will keep you updated as I have told UPS to pick up the box tomorrow. Shipping is the weak link. Update - Electronic Express did a great job for me to collect the device, correct my credit card and be a responsible seller. I don't know what happened along the way, but EE was behind the product, the return, and the entire transaction.
