I just don't understand some of the reviews

Bought last week for my not very big room. I am completely satisfied with the cooling that this device offers. I don't know why people are so obsessed with WIFI etc on the AC. I downloaded the app from the Apple App Store (Friedrich), just search for it and you have a nice app that works with your phone. I like to freeze and that's exactly what this block offers in the same size as the 8000 BTU block. Search people top to bottom and you'll be lucky to find 12,000 in such a compact device. This…

The best technology the best conditioners

This is by far the best conditioner I have ever had. The air conditioning runs on 79 and I'm freezing. The amazing sleep aid comes with a heater which I haven't tried yet. It has a turbo button that I've never seen before I hold it low, anything higher and I'm hanging meat in my room. I have AC in every room but now I have to replace it with this if you are looking for a top from the range that looks amazing oh and it connects to Alexa which works great with a few commands but always still does

3 months and the remote control doesn't work

Loud loud loud. The app works but not with Alexa. And the car is as loud as my 18,000 BTU air conditioner from 20 years ago. I can recommend LG to you. Turns out the old 18k btu Friedrich I had worked great but just ran out of power, there were LG parts in there. I thought it would be a good buy but there may be cheaper options that work just as well and won't keep you up at night. Update: 09/08/2021: About three months after purchase, the remote control does not work. and the app control still

First release but later flawless performance.

Bought (at a premium) hoping for a quiet, efficient and durable air conditioner. There was no fan on startup, just a hoarse hiss, although I could feel the supercharger working. I left it on for a few minutes, and then there was a thud like something hitting the case, enough to make me look outside to see if anyone was trying to get my attention. Then tuk-tuk-tuk-tuk, tuk-tuk, tuk-tuk, about ten times, and then he started to work and still does. There was no packaging I forgot to remove and I…

Updated Electronic Express A / Friedrich D

Friedrich must have accountants designing packaging. A 70lb AC unit with some cheap 3/16" corners and maybe 1/2" styrofoam. 2 straps for the box. Too bad - the packaging engineer certainly didn't do it. The inevitable is a crumpled box, a loose front cover, and something that isn't square because the piece doesn't fit snugly. Electronics Express was very good and sent UPS in the morning to collect the box. The support team replied to me in a timely manner, I am confident that this is not their…

My Model Replacement Friedrich Kuhl Air 10K BTU

As I write this review, it turns out that these "Chill Premier" units are new models from Friedrich and have recently gone on sale. This unit replaces an old 5 year old Friedrich Kuhl Air which over the past two years has literally started to fall apart, the front panel warped, the power button broke and the unit's ball bearings squeaked making it a loud beast. The build quality of the Friedrich Chill Premier is good but not great (don't expect too much from a $500 device), the remote control…

Wouldn't buy if you're not mechanically inclined.

The first thing I noticed upon unpacking was that all of the foam used for protection was completely destroyed and not where it should have been. Then I noticed a large dent on the back corner. cosmetics and outside. big boss. The picture is attached. Installation in the window is quite simple. The accordion panels are not long enough to fully fill the gaps on the sides. But nothing a little Home Depot filler can't fix. I plugged it in and turned it on and it was attacked by the most terrifying

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

I don't usually bother to write reviews. However, the disappointment with Friedrich and Silvan (the seller) made me sit down and write a review. I bought this air conditioner because I have had Friedrich air conditioners in the past and it was worth investing in a more expensive air conditioner. More important to this purchase was that I needed a Smart AC with Wi-Fi. The device was set up immediately after delivery and was relatively simple. Unfortunately, WLAN can only be set up via the remote
