B&D is a great brand! I thought I could rely on the quality of my rep. Functions, waffle maker, panini press, grilled cheese sandwich maker - everything I was looking for! Almost bought a Cuisinart model. Waffles: pasty. Fried cheese: spreadable. Panini - didn't even bother trying. No matter how long I left the waffles (two types so far) they didn't crisp. The cheese ran out and started to burn while the (white) bread was still spreadable. Why would B&D build something like this? There is no temperature control - only one temperature - low. Yes, it is easy to clean and use.
