I Made Lego Gummy Candy Molds

This worked really well for the Lego Gummy Candy Mold. King of Random has a couple of jelly candy videos (YouTube) that I started with. I changed the mold creation process a bit to save mold material. I was able to make shapes that covered about half of the second 10" base plate. The larger image on the left shows my completed forms. They were made from the entire quantity of this product. I changed the height of the retaining wall to be lower than the king shape. The first image on the right shows two examples of the Lego shape. 1-A consists of 2 standard stones that are high like the king form. This uses less mold material, allowing you to make more molds. I only have three separate smaller molds because I didn't know how much material I would have after filling the main 10" mold with baseplate. I'm planning a second set so I know how to mount the second base plate. 1-A, the image shows a pattern shape with a border two full bricks high. 1-B shows my version with 1 and 2/3 the mold wall height. The second small picture shows the difference. You don't have to make the entire wall 2/3 high, just the portion of it that you fill in when filling out the form. The last little wizard on the right shows the depth of the base of the finished shape and its depth for a full wall at two heights. This design has allowed me to create smaller molds so I can make more gum from one batch. I have used these molds to make over a dozen batches of candy. They look and feel the same as when they started. So I would give extra points for durability. I am delighted with this article!
