I am very happy with this purchase. As others have said, it arrived quickly, was well packaged, and was well made. The comb is strong and well-made - there are no sharp edges, cracks or design flaws that could affect its long-term use. I wet combed my hair and they didn't mind the exposure. However, I rub it with some coconut oil after use so that it does not dry out. I figured what's good for my hair will probably be good for the brush as well, since they're made of pretty much the same material. I'll report later how it holds up after a while. I will say a few words about the smell that others have commented on. This is a natural animal product and not a piece of plastic so I would be surprised if it didn't have a smell. Dry, no smell. The water gives off a faint odor, as does the distinct smell of burnt hair. I'm guessing because it's made of keratin and was probably ground and polished with friction or a hot tool. It's not a bad or dirty smell at all. However, if someone's comb smells bad, it's possible that something else has infected that particular item. I have NOT found burning smell affecting my hair. It was great at detangling my hair, gentle on my hair and scalp and eliminates static as advertised. Overall I think it really deserves five stars.
