Review on 🎲 The Perfect Combination: Walnut Studiolo's Plywood Leather Cribbage Set by Tony Doolittle

So I like this little board. I love that it's made out of metal, leather and cork, love that it's modeled after the ones our boys used in WWII. It's really something elegant and it will be a good gift for a young man. And that's why I bought it as a gift for my 12 year old nephew. Although I still love it, I feel a little less positive after receiving it. It's non-stretch, high quality leather and feels a bit cheap to me. Not in the vast majority of cases, but certainly at $45! After some fiddling, it's as flat as I could get. The metal of the small tube that holds the pens, while charming, turned greenish on arrival. As this is clearly a budget gift, I expected there to be a small box or at least a more aesthetic presentation than a plastic ziplock bag. On the other hand, my biggest concern was that the holes in the soft wood for the pins didn't hold up well. Not so! I randomly inserted all 4 pins, turned them upside down and they stuck! Over time this can become an issue, but definitely not on arrival. In the end, I like the concept, but I would like this company to improve their game a bit. I'm willing to pay for quality, but I EXPECT quality!
