I have a difficult relationship with the sofa. We've been through 4 moves together, 5 dogs, 2 kids and 2 cats. Our PB cover has endured everything for years. The cost of a new custom made Pottery Barn slipcover in the same fabric is now worth more than what we originally paid for the sofa and I failed the test on my bank account for the piece of fabric. , so I opted for a half-price unbranded cover that was said to fit our sofa model (PB Grand Comfort) exactly. to it, and the stiff weave of the canvas attracted enough dog fur to build another dog. No, and to my dismay, the first time I went to wash it, my husband ate pizza on it, "dry clean only". Who really needs those high-maintenance vibes in their home these days? I've been looking for a new one for a month. The problem with our sofa is its odd shape. Technically I should have bought a set of 5 but they don't seem to be the size we need. Our sofa is a big girl, about 92 inches, with two back cushions and only two very large seat cushions (instead of 3). This case was the only one I could find to work with the sizes. I had to tuck the back cushions into the largest piece instead of wrapping them in a separate cover like I usually do. And it fits, but it fits like my college jeans did after I had kids - I can somehow zip them up and make them work, but they're a bit tight and get stuck in weird places. no private fit. I've pinned it below, but it resists and likes to break off at times. It's also velvet which feels fantastic and soft but will be another dog hair nightmare. I have resigned myself to this fate. The good thing is that it is machine washable. I can work with it. It makes my couch look a bit scruffy, but if I cover it with enough pillows to move before I sit down, it's fine.
