I want to start by saying that I will continue to wear these leggings for sun protection when swimming. I especially like my purple pair. I really struggled with trying to decide on a size so I hope this helps. I am 5'2" and 200 lbs. Almost all of that weight is in my hips and thighs. As a result I ordered the largest size they make, XXL. Well XXL stands for extra extra long. Both pair are too long, however I don't mind that they are bunched up at my ankles. The black pair were really tight, almost like wearing Spanx. The purple pair fit great, except for the length. Also, based upon other reviews, I put them on over my swimsuit. They just slid down while swimming.even though they are tight. The next time I swam I wore them under my suit and they worked perfectly.
