I am an elderly person and have weak hands/wrists. I had trouble opening all the jars, especially small ones. I have a cat that needs to be fed baby food meat and these little jars are so small it's hard to grab hold of. I have a can opener. When it arrived I saw that there was no non-slip element inside to hold the lid of the jar. I doubted it would work without something like this, but it worked fine. I am very satisfied and will open all jars with it every day. My only negative comment, if you can call it that, is that I can't figure out what the white part on the top of it is for. It looks like it's just a decoration, but it looks like it had another purpose besides making it thicker than it needs to fit in the limited drawer space.
