Bought for my 85 year old mother who has some arthritis in her hands. She loves this can opener. She commented on the ease of use and she loves the fact that it can be used with smaller bottles. Makes her daily work easier.

My mother had one like this but from a different brand. I ordered it because it was so easy to use in the month I stayed with it that I wanted one at home too, but it's a different brand, the mouth isn't that wide so it's not big enough for all lids and it might take a bit more force to unscrew things. My mother's device had a longer handle to make it easier to use. However, it often does a good job and usually opens what I need.

I am an elderly person and have weak hands/wrists. I had trouble opening all the jars, especially small ones. I have a cat that needs to be fed baby food meat and these little jars are so small it's hard to grab hold of. I have a can opener. When it arrived I saw that there was no non-slip element inside to hold the lid of the jar. I doubted it would work without something like this, but it worked fine. Aside from that, this really is the best kitchen tool I've ever bought! After carpal tunnel surgery on both arms earlier this year, I'm still working on strengthening my arms again. But these salsa cans won't open on their own! (Believe me, I've tried it.) It's very easy to use, it's effective and it stays on really well!
