I know he shows the heating surface on the website but I seem to have missed it. The actual size of the heated area is very small, about the size of a small heating pad. I'm not sure what the rest of the blanket is for. Why call it an electric blanket when it's nothing more than a heating pad? Got it because I have Makita tools and thought it would be nice to have an electric blanket that connects to the Makita 18 volt battery hopefully giving it longer day/night runs. The high temperature is actually what I expected. I bought a 12 volt heating pad that plugs into a 12 volt outlet for $14 that works better and has a thermostat to control the temperature. Not what I would expect from Makita. To put it mildly, disappointed.
