I have a 2012 Chevy Express with a sliding door. Unfortunately, slick locks didn't work on my particular car. The inside of my sliding door has factory plastic panels and I don't have enough clearance to open my sliding door with the Slick Locks brackets installed. It looks like they designed this to match a bare metal door with no factory trim. If you have a sliding door with factory trim, you will need to discard the trim when installing slick latches. Alternatively, you can drill a few holes and mount a more traditional lock slightly higher where it won't get in the way.
