Six months ago I returned to my film photography. The main reason I order this scanner is the price. I would like to use this scanner to scan negative film that I am developing myself and use it to quickly view my work on a computer. And choose good photos to print. I could say I'm happy with this product, but a few months later I'm getting the Epson V600 for real work. On weekends I spend half a day scanning 3,500 old photos of my family and I share them after I'm done with Photoshop. My family members are so happy when old photos are displayed on their monitors and it really brings back a lot of memories for all of us. Pros: 1. Small portable size2. Quick scan3. Computer free, easy to play with SD card4. Easy to use, just press the button. My father will know how to use it after seeing me do it once.5. The picture quality will be a good surprise sometimes.6. The scanned image can be published on the Internet. No resizing or file size editing, good for all kinds of social or web use. Cons: 1. No quality control of the scan2. Sometimes it takes a while to scan part of my negative film, worst case I spend 10 minutes with 5 films3. Some of the colors of the photos are washed out and since they are only saved in JPG format, the color is difficult to recover. Power cord with a large nut blocking the photo slot, I would say this is a design flaw. If you're looking for a cheap, portable, easy-to-use photo scanner for home use, this might be a good choice, but if you're looking for a real job, save your money and go for the best one.
