The soldering iron tip has proven itself very well. However, I only used it to repair old Sony cassette players. Some desoldering requires desoldering, so I bought a separate tip in addition to the tip that came with my TS100 (B2). Disassembly can be difficult with a larger tip. I recommend this tip because ig has helped me with tiny components and accessing hard-to-reach places, even with Kapton tape. I am glad that many sellers can buy soldering tips for TS100. I didn't feel like going through eBay or another competitor to buy tips because it might be a hassle to return an item if I wasn't happy
