I had no intention of buying a new monitor as our last one was less than 2 years old but the day before our new computer was delivered our Phillips monitor suddenly stopped working. After looking at other monitors available, HP impressed me the most. Mainly because of the glossy image that gives a brighter and sharper image and makes it easier to see what you're doing. (Besides the fact that our new PC is an HP, it only made sense to buy an HP monitor! I only wish I had bought it at the same time as the PC - could have saved a few bucks!) This monitor displays images and pictures better than any monitor I've ever seen. It's also the perfect size and clarity for playing video games and watching movies/TV shows. At 19 inches wide, it's the perfect size to see everything (clearly) without distortion. The speakers aren't the best (produce monotonous/solid-state sound), so if you're planning on listening to music and/or watching movies, consider investing in a speaker set (the sound is good for short-term use). ). We've always used HP PCs, but we've never had an HP monitor. I will use a different brand one day. This is the perfect companion for our HP Pavilion Slimline! We recommend!
