When you need a great doorstop for a very heavy door and the ground you want this doorstop to stand on is sandy. This is a stopper for that purpose. At work we used many different stoppers, even heavy sandbags, stones, wooden and rubber stoppers and signposts. It's perfect and will hold up even on a sandy grained cement floor, resulting in most "light stoppers" not keeping the door fully open. This one is lightweight and easy to find when you need it. I was interested in maybe buying one that is 2 or 3 wide. Will follow up.
