I bought this ironing board for another purpose. It is designed for sleeves. The sleeves are small and narrow, so the ironing board is small and narrow. I wouldn't recommend it for larger jobs. I, on the other hand, use it to iron small pieces of fabric when making quilts/quilts. This is the perfect size for me as it fits perfectly on my desk for quick ironing. It's small enough that I could leave it on all the time and I never had to put it down. The downside is probably the padding. It's quite thin and you can really feel the metal underneath while ironing. If you're ironing a sleeve, you can probably slide the sleeve 13 to 14 inches across the board before touching the metal bar under the board. The ironing surface is approximately 20" long, 4-3/4" wide and approximately 4" tall. Without the flimsy lining I would have given a full 5 stars. If I could give I would give 4-1/2 stars, even with its thin pad.
