Build quality is good. The holes didn't fit me. I tried 2 hours. I drilled holes in my door, tapped the handle to screw it in and finally, after a while, I installed it. I then tried to use the key provided but it wouldn't lock securely. Defeated, I took everything off and put it back on the old handle. The only reason I got this was a key lock so we had a back door as well. I really wanted this thing to work as it's very difficult to find patio doors with a key lock.
