I was told that the only authorized store that sells Uline tapes is your website. I'm not sure how others can sell authentic Uline tapes. That's probably why there are a lot of complaints in the Revain reviews that the tape doesn't hold up well. Either the tapes aren't genuine, or expired, as I was told. .But for this item, this seller has less negative feedback and that is the main reason I bought it. Yes, it's not very thick and the glue isn't super sticky. A few years ago I bought more or less the same strap from a store, maybe a U-Haul store, and it worked fine. But I couldn't find the tape in any other store. So I ordered from this seller. It looks very similar to the tape I (probably) bought from U-Haul a few years ago. You can't use it to tow a car, but box wrapping seems to work well, as does the 3" duct tape I bought from the store a few years ago. I'll have to see if it sticks in a few days. Home depot or local stores and they're all useless. All those 3M tapes about 1.88 inches wide are useless. They are too narrow for gluing cardboard and do not stick well. The only 3M tape that worked for me was 3M packing tape. which is off-white with stripes on it, more like reinforced composite tape. But it's 1.88" and not suitable for taping large boxes. Now I can't find it in any store. Only black thick gorilla tape beats everything I've tried. But it's expensive and very good too difficult to remove the roll as it is very sticky. This gorilla tape is really very thick and very sticky but even that came out of the box once when I didn't put long tape on. That's my fault. I really doubt that this is true industrial grade Uline tape because it's too thin for industrial grade tape and not very sticky. But it seems to do the job and I'll have to wait and see if it sticks or if it comes off after a few days. Another 3 -inch tape I bought from the store that looks and smells exactly like this has been sitting there for years as I still have the boxes I used to move around so if it's the same tape then I'm glad that I like it made up, even if it's not the real Uline.
