I wish it would work like it should
After reading between the lines I was able to understand the manual and set up the repeater on the 5th try. After that everything worked correctly and strengthened the Wi-Fi signal. However, it didn't stay in contact with my outlet. As long as you position the repeater carefully and never touch it (or even bump into it) again, you'll probably be fine. However, with the slightest touch, the plug lost contact with the socket and the device switched itself off. I was afraid it might be a fire hazard. As always, Revane did a great job on the comeback.
