Review on Lightweight Hybrid Flexzilla Fittings in ZillaGreen by Bob Schultz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great hoses on hoses

I bought a 50 foot 1/4 inch hose to use with my portable compressor. I then shortened it to 15 and 35 feet and used the Flexzilla replacement. It worked great. The tubing was easily cut with a razor and their interchangeable ends fitted perfectly. both are made of aluminum. I think the only thing that's really different is the strain relief. The Pro works much better than the normal's strain relief. However, both do an excellent job of removing the stress point from the metal fitting, so I think either will work well and won't cause you any problems. For everyday use I'd most likely want a Pro as the Helix allows for slightly better sag and effectively extends your air tool a flexible 3" instead of the solid 5" that the standard has. The 1/4 inch thickness is obviously much less, but both have the same level of flexibility. You can make a very small radius and it still won't twist. Works well in all weather conditions. a bit rubbery so it can get stuck when you try to drag it around the corner of a wall. I really love flexzilla hoses and will never go back to those cheap plastic hoses.
