Some kits I've gotten locally have hard springs that keep the shoes from moving once installed and it's almost impossible to get them with two hands to install. One Chinese - Autozone, Oriellys, another Indian - Napa, Advance Auto, AC Delco and Raybestos. Crock of shit. I don't know what Carlson is, but it looks the same. Chinese pins break when you try to install them, I can't imagine holding on to them with that much force. Wagner makes a simple pin and clip assembly, and Centric makes a coil spring/quarter turn washer that appears to be the original Ford type but is only available online. The two Ford dealers couldn't find anything on their computers - they basically told me they couldn't know if they were coming with the shoes until they ordered them. I don't understand.
