Review on ๐Ÿ”ฝ Cuisinart CMT-100 XL Collapsible Marinade Container: Convenient and Space-Saving in Black by Lucia Brown

Breaks down when it wants, not when it wants

My first surprise was how low the production quality of the Cuisinart product was. One of the flaps closing the lid was broken and the rest of the flaps look wobbly, I doubt they will last more than a few uses. The second surprise is after filling the container about a third full with salt water and adding veggies. , he decided to collapse on his own, spilling everything on the counter and floor. I kept holding it and managed to keep it extended until I was ready to put the lid on. It's actually not that hard if you are aware of the risk and exercise caution. But I expect the Cuisinart product to be less delicate. Putting the lid on is a real challenge. It takes some force to snap the flaps. You have to keep the container in shape, because rubber has no rigidity. If you bend the container too much or push it too hard, it will collapse. Even if you lower and latch the lid (or latch with the valves still intact), the wait never ends. Any sideways pressure can cause the cover to detach or collapse. I only recommend this product as a gift to a chef you don't like or as a prop for a farce in the kitchen.
