Review on πŸ“Ί SONGMICS Bamboo Monitor Stand Riser with 2-Tier Desktop Storage Organizer - ULLD217 by Tracey Mack

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So many purchase options but this is the one.

First of all I would like to say that I researched and waded through many similar products before I settled on this Songmics bamboo monitor stand due to its weight, size and features. I always check these products because there are so many low quality fakes that I'm sure a lot of you are worried about. It's not one of those fakes, it's the real deal. Below I give you my impressions and a brief description of the product. Quality out of the box: one word, amazing. It came 1 day late because of the carrier and not the company. When I received it I realized why. The box was broken at the edges and resealed. The product was in an inner box which allowed it to slide around during transport, most likely damaging the box. However, the stand did not suffer from the quality of its own packaging. The weight of this product is fantastic and the surfaces are smooth (although be warned that bamboo can splinter) and clean. It consisted of several parts with very clear visual markings in the instructions. It listed 12 screws, an Allen key and 2 anchors. To my pleasant surprise, I received 1 extra screw and 1 extra wall plug. That doesn't happen very often these days. The quality of the hole drilling made assembly very easy with a wrench and screws. I was quite shocked at how easily they went in but firmly and securely. The process far exceeded my expectations and I was a bit concerned about this as I currently have 6 discs in my upper back. I had absolutely no problems with it. You had the option of mounting the shelf section on the left or right, which was a very simple process of placing dowels on one side or the other. Your dowels can be removed if you ever change your mind and want to change them. My use: I am not using this for a monitor but for a side table to expand my space on this table. The weight of the product can easily be borne by a very beefy monitor, although I would caution against moving anything really heavy on it too hard to damage the surface as bamboo is not a hardwood. Features: As mentioned above, this stand has a shelf that can be moved as needed. I really appreciate that the power cord for your electronics is routed on this stand so you can tuck it away from the top and route it from the bottom. I like the tablet slot on the front, it's very secure and has a dedicated cable management area next to the phone jack. I don't use the phone slot as it's at an angle which is difficult for me to see given my position. I think this would be handy if you want to put your phone in for charging (if you have a bad angle like mine), but instead I use this cutout to store other random stationery. The cup/pen holder is another great feature and I definitely use it to store my pens and I love that aspect. The rolling shelving does not have adjustable shelves, but I find their height to be ideal and suitable for a variety of storage purposes. There is also enough space under the block. Another note of note is that all ends of the stand, including the shelving unit, are raised slightly so you don't have to worry about things rolling off or being accidentally wiped off when you reach for other things. to be honest, no. When buying a bamboo product, you should understand that it can tear. If you are concerned about this you can always top coat or varnish the base as the build quality means it has a very smooth finish and should come out nice. Summary: Very Solid Construction - Excellent Features - Easy Assembly - Great Price. I would highly recommend this product and the company overall based on the quality of production.
