The pins on my original key fob were faulty and the doors locked/unlocked with the keys in my pocket. I thought about buying a new key fob, but it would cost around $200 (buy the key fob and program it since the end user can't do it themselves). I decided that for less than $20 I would take a chance and try one. Installation was easy, I removed the key from the original and used my pocket knife to carefully separate the two pieces. Gently put the two halves of the case together, put the key back in the slot and test. In order for me to keep the RAM logo on the back of the key I tried mating the old back to the new front and it didn't want to fit properly and I didn't want to force it. I understand that the seller could not put the RAM logo on the back as it would constitute copyright infringement. All in all everything worked great and I have already recommended it to many of my friends who have Rams and I will be ordering another one to keep in my desk drawer in case another FOB gets in trouble.
