Review on NeoSport Wetsuits Premium Neoprene Full Suit by Craig Sexton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wish I bought years ago!

Each year, I help a friend & his family with putting in aluminum docks, boat lift, and swim platform in Lake Winnepesaukee in NH - usually a couple weeks after ice out. Each year, 4-6 of us freeze our a**'s off in 40-55 degree water, trying to manipulate connectors, bolts, etc. Each year, we each donned a wet suit - one designed for diving in moderate waters. This year when I saw the lake was still completely covered in ice on April 9th, I had enough - bought my own heavy wet suit, boots, and gloves. Best investment for this trip ever! Even with late ice out this year, I was perfectly content to remain in the water while others froze! Size is hard to tell as I bought big intentionally, which is what I wanted as I use it to "work" in, not swim. Yeah I'm a big buy, but XXXL is BIG - I can squeeze into an XL, but didn't have the mobility and range of motion I needed. Being a little over sized, it's not quite as warm as a skin tight suit but this is exactly what I was looking for. Little silly with the empty 'pooch' material around the stomach, but lets face it - it's a wet suit, unless you're a model it's not very flattering. No one needs to see a ten pound sausage squeezed into a five pound bag, so a little extra material is fine. Great insulating power nonetheless.

Pros
  • Superior Warmth: The full suit design of this wetsuit ensures maximum coverage of the body, thereby effectively retaining body heat in colder waters
Cons
  • The wetsuit doesn't offer enough ventilation for breathing
