Review on HAOHAIO BP96 01472A Replacement BP96 01471A BP96 01578A by Danny Kamerer

5⭐ to 2⭐ in about a month.

I'm changing 5 stars to 2. This lamp fixed my 13 year old Samsung 56" DLP. My TV turned on for about 30 seconds and then turned off. When I turned it off, three lights flashed. After they turned several Watched videos on YouTube all said it was a bad lightbulb and also recommended dusting off fans and other internal components as this is the main cause of premature bulb burnout. These TVs are difficult to dust separately .The only tools needed is a Phillips screwdriver and unplugging some wires and removing about 20 screws to attach the outer cover most securely. The actual bulb replacement is very simple.Remove one screw from the cover, unscrew tab to remove plastic air duct, second screw to remove bulb Simply reverse these steps. All the videos emphasize not to touch the glass of the bulb, in fact there were no warnings about it. Lightbulb I can't say how long the lightbulb will last, but my TV worked fine for 6 hours after installing a new lightbulb. I'm happy because the less than $30 part saved me hundreds of dollars and kept this dinosaur off the junkyard a little longer! 1 month later 2 stars less. My TV is still working and won't turn off. I recently noticed that the image brightness fluctuates every few minutes. The image is still visible, just annoying. DLPs gradually lighten as they "warm up". After 5 minutes it should work. A few hours later this is still happening. This reminds me how to change your phone's screen brightness. You have no control over the TV. I would recommend buying a different bulb.
