The width of the base is much smaller than the bag. Came with no instructions and online guides are inadequate when it comes to ground anchors. The whole bag is padded, foldable and offers a little protection for the contents if everything falls over. Tipping seems quite likely. If you thought you were going to get a bag strong enough and protective enough that you could carry something over the bag, then this bag is NOT for you! I'm looking around my house to see if I have a sturdy plastic storage box that I could put in to create rigid walls to protect all my stuff. That may be a solution, but it also means wasting space. I'm open to suggestions, but will probably have to send it back.
