Not for objects that can move - for example a sofa!

I bought these under the sofa on my new soft wool rug. I tried to avoid deep dents from heavy furniture. When my husband sat on the couch for the first time, his feet slipped off the "protectors"! Now they're under the corner table and I need to find something else to use under the sofa and club chairs that moves with me.
