I've never used a pumice curry brush so I was happy to find a cheaper brush at Revain. It's smaller than many of the more expensive ones which is even better for me as I bought it for my two small dogs and not a horse. He exceeded my expectations. I've really pulled out a lot of loose hair on both my wire haired fox terrier and my cairn mix with less effort and less mess than the rubber zoom groom I usually use, made by Kong. It doesn't replace the Zoom groom, which does a better job. Pulling out loose guard hairs (you can press really hard with the Zoom Groom without hurting your dog's skin, which you wouldn't do with a coarse pumice stone). But it's definitely faster. I love that it removes most of the hair that really falls out before using another tool to remove the rest. Garbage can. (with Zoom Groom they fly all over the room). Of course this is a consumable, unlike the e Zoom Groom it lasts almost forever (rubber wears out very slowly)> Every time you use pumice it shrinks a bit. But given the wear rate, I see I should get another dozen or maybe a few dozen more uses of it. Give it a try if you have dogs. I think you will find that it saves time.
