Review on Panasonic ES-RT37 electric shaver, blue/silver by Buana Bono ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well done, but I won't buy any more.

Summary: A great opportunity to save money and get high quality shaving and modern technologies for less money than competitors. However, the geek still has a feeling of some dissatisfaction. I've been shaving for over 30 years. Of these, 99% are electric shavers, of which 98% are nets. I have been shaving with Browns of all stripes for twenty years. In recent years, I had experience with the current Braun series 3 and 5. However, the Braun 5020s suddenly died. And prices have risen, but money is a pity. Having studied the issue, I bought a Panasonic ES-RT37. Impression: + Superior shave quality to Brown Series 3 and on par with Series 5. + The price is equal to the lower "triples" from Brown. This is amazing! = In terms of ease of use, somewhere in the middle between Braun 3 and 5. Floating shaving blocks are softer than in Braun "threes", where they really do not work, but harder and work worse than in "fives", where the elasticity is matched perfectly! - The battery is worse than expected. Starts beeping low after 4 shaves. At 5 times maximum, and that may not be enough. Braun 5020s was enough for 12 times with almost identical declared characteristics. Marvelous! - Browns and 3 and 5 series have the ability to extend one of the shaving blocks, and the trimmer and the second block go down. Only one narrow block works - it is very convenient when shaving the upper lip and under the nose. Panasonic does not have this. You have to carry two nets and a trimmer - it's not very pleasant. - You can not flip the grid 180 degrees. Brown has been around for 10 years now, it seems to allow the mesh to be twisted for more even abrasion. - It's probably time for Panasonic to abandon the separation of the knife block and the mesh. Kondovo, but directly provokes to climb in and clean the knives with a brush, and along the way, blunt them. Why this is necessary, if the razor can be washed, I do not understand. On the Brown fives, this is one block and it is removed entirely, like with Philips. - Complete lack of "complete set". Razor, charger, brush - that's it. No oil, no wardrobe trunk or bag, no plastic stand. How to store?

Pros
  • 1. Excellent shaving quality. 2. The price is one notch lower than the competition.
Cons
  • 1. Complete set. More precisely, its absence. 2. Battery. 3. Archaic design.
